Phyllis F. Cudmore, principal of Cudmore Counseling Service, is a gender specialist/counselor with over 11 years' experience in personal counseling on gender issues. Her qualifications include:

Human Behavior and Relationship Management degree
Owner of TSWoman, an online support group for pre-operative, post-operative, and non-operative transsexuals
Assistant manager for TG Support International, an online support group for all gender-variant individuals
Transgender coordinator for PFLAG/Northeast Region 
Moderator for TG Teens, mentoring teens seeking help understanding gender-related issues
Worked with severely challenged children on their rehabilitation

Phyllis underwent her confirmation surgery by Dr. Yvonne Menard in Montreal, Canada in June 2000, and has counseled many individuals on gender issues in person, via telephone, in classrooms and video presentations, as well as online. She resides in the Augusta, Maine area.


Phyllis presented a workshop entitled "Transgender Issues" at the 2005 and 2006 True Colors Conference at Central Connecticut State University, Farmington, CT. The workshop, targeted for members and nonmembers of the gender community, included a video presentation, group discussion, and Q & A.

She also attended the Transcending Boundaries Conference in October 2006 in Worcester, MA, organized in part by PFLAG/Northeast Region, focusing on a variety of current GLBTQI issues.

Phyllis participated in a 2003 video production, "Transgender Issues", hosted by Alicen McGowan, Ph.D, and broadcast on several area community-access channels. VHS copies of this 50-minute program may be ordered from Cudmore Counseling Service by inquiring at talk@cudmorecounseling.com.
